1. First impressions count!

Your competition with other potential tenants starts the moment you pick up the phone to arrange a property viewing. First impressions matter, so make sure you're friendly and polite when scheduling the appointment.

On the day of the viewing, be on time and make an effort to dress smartly. Treat the whole process as if it's a job interview - you want to impress at every stage, so be on your best behaviour! The landlord or managing agent will most likely ask you some questions about yourself - what do you do for a living, where do you currently live, do you have any pets? - so be prepared and answer them confidently.

 

2. Have the relevant documents ready

3. Fill out the application form as soon as possible
