As we close off 2021 with excitement and anticipation for the new year, we think it's befitting to reflect on the year and appreciate all the growth, accomplishments and blessings that made 2021 a successful year for the SAproperty.com team!
Where We've Gone
Even with the pandemic hovering over us, we have surpassed our growth projections for the year. Let's take a look at what we've achieved:
A bigger and better team
More is more when it comes to a strong and supported real estate agency! We have taken on some new key team members this year. We've brought in specialists across all of our departments, excelling in both sales and rentals for residential and commercial property.
Amongst these pivotal team members is our National Sales Manager, Wayne Heidmann, who has played a crucial role in driving SAproperty.com's growth during 2021. Another significant addition to our team has been Johannesberg team leader and Office Manager Eleanor Stimpson - a considerable reflection of our journey of growth.
A strong year-over-year growth
We were pleasantly surprised to see powerful rental and sales growth for our agency this year.
With only a 2.5% year-over-year rental growth in the Western Cape and a -2.3% decline in growth in Gauteng, we are grateful our agency still experienced an overall 68% year-over-year growth in our regions, with a 57% rentals increase and a 71% sales increase.

With a new year comes new opportunities! Here's what you can expect to see:
Plans and projects for 2022
Our vision and growth plans for 2022 include a core focus on increasing our agent numbers across South Africa to better serve you. We also aim to expand our capabilities within our Commercial and Luxury Property Divisions - more to follow in the new year. Watch this space!
According to FNB Commercial Property Finance Economist, John Loos, after the decline in the average commercial property value that started to slowly stabalise in the beginning of 2021, 2022 will likely see a continued growth to correction in all average property value. We are optimistic that this projection will support our goals for growth in the new year.
Developments underway
On the developments front, we have some promising projects to keep an eye on going into 2022.
After 4 phases of sold out developments, we're excited to announce Bardale Village is launching phase 5 early next year! Perfect for first-time buyers, the Kuilsriver neighbourhood is affordable and centrally-located for your convenience. Other brand new projects to look out for are Constantia's ARC1 (Advanced Residential Concepts) development and an impressive new development in Higgovale.
SAproperty.com has grown at an exceptional speed this year, and we don't plan on slowing down! With new projects, partnerships, and opportunities in the works, we are confident that 2022 is going to be a year for the books!
