Tips to Getting Quality Listing Images

Category Advice

We see too many photo-fails of listed properties that could sell quickly, but are stuck on the market because of poorly taken images. Assist your property agent by getting your home ready for photo day. Check out these photography tips and make sure the quality of images is top notch!

Declutter and stage your home

The last thing you want is for potential buyers to scroll past your property because the clutter is overwhelming. Cleaning out the clutter is essential to staging your property. This way the buyer can actually see the property and not just its contents!

Stage your interior as minimalistically as you can, and for some extra points - call up your local florist and use flowers to add a warm atmosphere to your pictures.

Don't forget the curb-appeal

While you're cleaning up, don't forget to neaten up the exterior of your home. Whether it's just a sweep, or you're able to give the door a fresh coat of paint, your curb-appeal shouldn't be undervalued.

To make things easier for your agent - before they arrive at your property - make sure your cars are not sitting in the driveway, dustbins are gone and any other eye-sores are moved away.

Pick the right lighting

Lighting plays a huge role in the final quality of your property shots. When organising a day to shoot images, we suggest coming over while there is good natural lighting. We advise against evening flashlight-photography. You want to create a warm and friendly mood, rather than a dark and harsh one.

Natural light brings vibrancy to the colour in your home, so open up those curtains and get some sunny day-time shots!
